SHRINK

SHRINK IS DEFINITELY IN

"Henry Carter: It's all bullshit and then you die."

Henry Carter is a lost man. He is a therapist to a great many of the Hollywood used and broken but he himself is in pain, although you wouldn't know it by how much pot the guy smokes.
This is definately a work of character with a almost non-existant plot line. It is a movie about a man, one of the walking wounded who desparately tried to muffle his pain, if not knock it out all together. The ending came much more emotionally than I would have predicted, but Kevin Spacey does a fantastic if underappreciated job of carrying this one man film. No guns, no chases, but a story of a man under unbearable pain trying to cope and get through like anyone else. Therapists aren't gods.
BITE: So well acted by Spacey, interesting and touching.
